Student letting in Durham.
We charge no fees for our services
Most of our houses are for groups of six, seven or eight but we also have accommodation for individuals or groups of two, three, four or five.
If you are an individual wanting a room in a house with others, but are not in a position to form a group, e.g. you live overseas, we can help.
If you are not yet a full group, but are confident you and the friends you have so far will make up the numbers later, you can still sign up for a whole property right now. Just ask us for our advice and guidance on doing this.
If you like the look of one of our properties, contact us to arrange a viewing. You need to do this to satisfy yourself you are happy with it, as all of the information in this web site is intended only as a guide – Although we make every effort to be accurate, details provided can’t be guaranteed as correct.
We impose no rules of tidiness, and some tenants prefer to live in a messy environment. Most of our properties are actually kept in very good order by our tenants but, if the one you view is a tip at the time, we apologise and ask you to look beyond it. Look at the potential of the house – the space, the high ceilings, the comfy double beds, the real leather furniture, the large dining tables, the gardens and BBQ areas, the period features and the character that will all be staying after the current tenants have gone.
The contract you will enter into is or is the equivalent of an Assured Short-hold Tenancy. The basic agreement we use can be viewed Here . Have a look and make sure you’re happy. Feel free to email any questions you have.
When you sign, you will need to pay a security deposit. This will be repaid, less any necessary deductions, shortly after the end of your tenancy. We have an outstanding record for returning deposits in full.
Our aim is to look after you every step of the way. We are voluntary members of the Durham Student Union (DSU) Code of Standards and go beyond their requirements in most areas.
Our reputation is important to us and has been earned through our uncompromising approach and constant striving to be one of the best student landlords with the best student houses in Durham .
